Meet this year's Students' Union sabbatical team
Surrey Students' Union is a student-run organisation that represents Surrey students at a local and national level. An elected team of five student sabbatical officers help shape students' experience at Surrey: Liam White is President of the Students' Union and is the lead student representative of the Union managing the Vice-Presidents and the CEO.

An actor

I love Dungeons & Dragons, and run a home campaign!

Talking to so many students and hearing their stories!

Teacher.
Fun fact about you?
I may or may not have almost fallen into a volcano once. It's an eternal mystery.
What is the best thing about your role?
Learning about students' opinions on a range of subjects and being able to give them a voice.

I used to run a YouTube channel with millions of views.
What is the best thing about your role?
Being able to work with such a great team of sabbs and staff!

MSc Business Analytics with a Placement Year.
What clubs or societies have you been part of at Surrey?
Rifle, Equestrian, Fencing, Surrey Snow, Trampoline, International Students' Association (ISA), Economics and Finance, Poker.

Vet Med Library
What did you want to be when you were younger?
Pilot.
Fun fact about you?
Back in December 2011, I had a day full of unexpected encounters. In the morning, I met Tom Cruise at the Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol premiere in Mumbai. Later that same day, I crossed paths with Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, India's "Missile Man" and former President. And if that wasn’t enough, on my way back at the airport, I saw Ratan Tata, the legendary chairman of Tata Group. Three incredible personalities in one day—definitely a coincidence I'll never forget!

Sports, fun, events, and enhancing employability for students.

An actress.

I was born on Friday 13th and I love horror films!

Being able to give students the support they deserve and advocating for change.

Our ‘Proud to be Surrey’ campaign shines the spotlight on some of our brilliant staff and students who make Surrey such a diverse and welcoming place to work and study.
There are undergraduates, postgrads, alumni, academics and professional services staff but they all have one thing in common – they are all Proud to be Surrey.
