The International Women's Day 2026 theme is 'Give To Gain', encouraging a mindset of generosity and collaboration.

Give To Gain emphasises the power of reciprocity and support. When people, organisations, and communities give generously, opportunities and support for women increase. Giving is not a subtraction, it's intentional multiplication. When women thrive, we all rise.

Whether through donations, knowledge, resources, infrastructure, visibility, advocacy, education, training, mentoring, or time, contributing to women's advancement helps create a more supportive and interconnected world.

What will you Give to Gain gender equality?

Women of Surrey Research Park

This annual campaign celebrates the incredible women who are driving innovation, shaping industries, and creating impact within the thriving Surrey Research Park ecosystem.

These exceptional women were nominated by colleagues across all Park companies and subsequently selected by last year’s featured women.

This initiative showcases women at different stages of their careers, from ambitious early-career professionals to seasoned leaders and entrepreneurs from within the SETsquared Surrey incubator including spin out companies from the University. By spotlighting their achievements and contributions to the Research Park community the campaign aims to inspire and empower all women and girls to follow careers in STEM and to further encourage students at the University to consider a range of roles within STEM sectors.

If you are planning to run an event or activity in support of Women's History Month, please let us know via news@surrey.ac.uk so that we can build it into our promotional programme.
